Concert Quality Didgeridoo from Australia
|
|
Crafted by Roper Allanson (Bundjalong aboriginal)

The red dot on the Australian map at left shows the region where this didgeridoo came from. Roper is a very skilled and patient crafter, allowing the eucalyptus timber to season for up to a year before stripping the bark. This makes the wood quite stable, and the harder timber also makes the sound more robust.

The artwork on this fine didgeridoo is symbolic of an aerial perspective of the scrub country; sand hills, valleys, and billabongs (water marshes) in the style of Australia's western desert region. This didgeridoo was crafted from
termite hollowed eucalyptus. The interior bore is very clear and
open which increases volume, harmonics, and clarity of tone. A satin finish protects the wood and artwork from the elements. Fitted with an
organic beeswax mouthpiece sanitized with Didgeri-Clean (tea tree and
lavender oil). The mouthpiece can easily be adjusted to fit you perfectly.

Soundwise: Concert quality sound with dynamic sonics. This
beauty is loud and powerful,
truly a fine instrument at
an unbeatable price for this
quality. Perfectly suited
for the traditional hard
tongue playing style
with easy horn toots and soft tups. Its myriad
tone colors invite surrender,
whilst the clear bore gives you a focus and
clarity that offers up everything
from far away animal calls
to distant tribal chatter
effects. And while didgeridoos
don't play themselves, instruments
like this one guide you intuitively
through free form rhythms
of self expression. Excellent
vocal clarity and well balanced
acoustics. Three easy horn
tones, all warm against the
drone. Perfect backpressure
for its size and pitch making
the circular breathing technique easeful. Two easy
horn tones, both warm against
the drone. Please don't hesitate
to contact us if you have
any questions or would like
a demo over the phone.
