The red dot on the Australian map at left shows the region where this didgeridoo came from. John Kerklaan is a friend of Lewis Burns (an aboriginal didgeridoo crafter and longtime friend of ours). Lewis brought several of JK's "slat wood" didges along with him on his recent trip to the U.S., and now we've got 'em on offer. This one is made of rosewood, mirante and hemlock wood. It features a smooth and comfortable wood mouthpiece and a truly conical bore. It is numbered and etched with JK's initials on the bell end. John's are the first slat wood didgeridoos we've ever had that are made in Australia, and the craftsmanship is top notch. The interior bore is very clear which increases volume, harmonics, and clarity of tone. A glass-like resin finish protects the wood from the elements. Natural mouthpiece, no beeswax needed, sanitized with Didgeri-Clean (tea tree and lavender oil). |

with brilliant vocal clarity.
Birdsong and wildlife noises morph
into metallic beeps, bass thumps,
and otherworldly sci-fi sounds.

up a keen balance between gravel-voiced
distortion effects and its resonant,
harmonic drone. Three easy horn
toots, each warm against the drone
and always ready to go off. Absolutely
perfect backpressure for its size
and pitch make the circular
breathing technique easeful.
