The red dot on the Australian map at left shows the region where this didgeridoo came from. Roper is a very skilled and patient crafter, allowing the eucalyptus timber to season for up to a year before stripping the bark. This makes the wood quite stable, and the harder timber also makes the sound more robust.
This didgeridoo has a nice flare at the end, and it's fairly light in weight for it's size. The artwork features depictions of two serpents perambulating the tall spinifex grasses, and concentric circles that represent billabongs (water marshes) in the dot art style of Australia's central desert region. This didgeridoo was crafted from
termite hollowed eucalyptus. The interior bore is very clear and
open which increases volume, harmonics, and clarity of tone. A satin finish protects the wood and artwork from the elements. Fitted with an
organic beeswax mouthpiece sanitized with Didgeri-Clean (tea tree and
lavender oil). The mouthpiece can easily be adjusted to fit you perfectly.
