Yucca Didgeridoo #MG126
Performance Quality Didgeridoo

|
Crafted by Myke Gomezmaicas

This yucca didgeridoo is light in weight and ruggedly handsome with a HUGE 6" bell on the end. Myke knows the desert well and selects shapely stalks that have the best potential for didgeridoo crafting. All of the markings and colors are completely natural with raised lines that create undulating patterns where the leaves had once grown. Myke is a longtime friend, going back to the first Joshua Tree festivals at the turn of the millennium. His beautiful family supports and encourages his very serious didge habit, and Myke shares his love of this instrument with heaps of young people in his community. He began making didgeridoos so his students would have something to learn on (see photo below). From that he's allowed me to hand pick the very best sounding new ones and offer them to you at very reasonable prices.

This didgeridoo is super light in weight so you can easily take it along on walkabouts, to drum circles, or jam sessions with friends. Double resin coated inside
and out for enhanced sound quality,
luster and durability. Features a smooth and comfortable mouthpiece made of wood that's been sanitized
with Didgeri-Clean (tea tree and lavender oil). No beeswax needed. This
didgeridoo is
waterproof, unaffected by hot or cold
weather conditions, and very easy
to care for, no worries. |
Soundwise: Performance quality sound and playability with a warm, REVERBERANT acoustic. Deep and rumbly for a D. The sonic colors are malleable and
playful in with highly
articulate vocals, animal sounds,
and tongued twang. Crisp and reverberant
with good bass frequencies. Three warm, easy to hit horn tones.
Strong backpressure for its size
and pitch make the circular
breathing technique more easeful.
This one's a sweet player and it may not
last long around here now that it's listed on the website for all to see.
